Free to download and install. A 7-day trial unlocks processing on first launch if you are online. After the trial ends — or if a trial cannot start — EQ, Dynamic EQ, Compressor, and Master stay at their flat, unprocessed defaults until you enter a license key.

After connecting a new audio device or switching your output, allow 10–30 seconds for Atout APO to reconnect before EQ and volume changes apply.

macOS and Linux are not supported. Atout APO relies on the Windows Audio Processing Object framework, which is Windows-only by design.
Not currently supported: Bluetooth audio devices and professional/pro-audio USB interfaces (e.g., devices using ASIO or proprietary manufacturer drivers) are not supported in v1. Please confirm your output device is a standard Realtek (onboard) or USB Audio Class device before purchasing — see Pricing for details.
Check compatibility before you buy: Atout APO is compatible with standard Windows audio output devices (Realtek onboard or USB Audio Class). Once installed, confirm your setup is connected by checking that the real-time spectrum display reacts while audio is playing — see Pricing for details.

What to expect at setup

  1. Download and install

    Download the signed Atout APO installer from this page and run it. Atout APO automatically detects and attaches to your active playback devices — no manual selection needed.

  2. Check compatibility before you buy

    With the app running, confirm the real-time spectrum display reacts while audio is playing. This tells you Atout APO is properly connected to your device.

  3. Use the trial, then purchase if you want to keep it

    First launch starts a 7-day trial when you are online. When you are ready, purchase a license and get your key by email — no account needed.

  4. Enter your key anytime

    Activate instantly with your license key during or after the trial. The full EQ, Dynamic EQ, and Compressor chain stays unlocked on that device.

After connecting a new audio device (especially USB) or switching your default output, Atout APO may take about 10–30 seconds to attach. EQ and volume changes may not apply immediately — please wait a moment.
