Refund Policy
Last Updated: August 26, 2026
1. Overview
AtoutAudio is sold as a digital software license. Because license keys are delivered instantly upon purchase, refund eligibility is limited as described below.
2. Refund Eligibility
You may request a refund within 14 days of purchase if:
- The Software fails to install or run correctly on a supported system, and our support team is unable to resolve the issue after reasonable troubleshooting; or
- You were charged in error (e.g., duplicate charge).
Refunds are generally not available for:
- Change of mind after successful installation and use.
- Incompatibility with hardware/software configurations that do not meet stated system requirements, where no technical defect exists.
- Requests made after the license has been used extensively without a reported technical issue.
Before you buy: please confirm your audio setup meets our system requirements before purchasing — see the compatibility notice on our Pricing page. Refund requests based on hardware or software that does not meet these requirements, where no technical defect exists, fall under the exclusion above.
A note on device changes: if your license appears deactivated because you changed computers, this is not a defect and does not require a refund — use the built-in Reset Device feature (available once every 30 days) to reactivate your license on your new device. See our Terms of Service for details. If you believe your license was suspended in error for any other reason, contact support@atoutaudio.com before requesting a refund — most access issues can be resolved directly.
3. How to Request a Refund
Contact us at refund@atoutaudio.com, or through the Lemon Squeezy order confirmation email, including your order number and a description of the issue. We will review your request and provide a recommendation; however, final approval of payment refunds and disputes rests with Lemon Squeezy as our Merchant of Record (see Section 5).
4. What Happens After a Refund
Once a refund is processed:
- Your license key will be automatically deactivated.
- The Software will revert to an inactive (unlicensed) state on all previously activated devices, with EQ, Dynamic EQ, Compressor, and Master held at factory default values.
- You will need to uninstall the Software or purchase a new license to continue use.
5. Payment Processor
All purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy reserves the right to independently evaluate and process refund requests or payment disputes (including chargebacks) in accordance with its own Buyer Terms of Service, which may take precedence over our internal review. Once a refund is completed through Lemon Squeezy, your license key will be automatically revoked. Refunds are issued to your original payment method and may take several business days to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer.
6. Major Upgrade Purchases
If you purchase a paid major upgrade (as described in Article 4 of the EULA), that purchase is treated as a separate transaction and is subject to the same refund eligibility and process outlined in this Policy (see Sections 2–3).
Upon approval of a refund for a major upgrade, only the new license key issued for that upgrade will be deactivated. Refunding a major upgrade does not affect, revoke, or terminate your existing license for the previous major version you originally purchased.
